First, stand in front of a mirror, feet together, and hold your arms level with your shoulders. What do you see as a replica? What exactly is halfway between your hands? Now bring each hand, placing it in the middle, over your heart, and close your eyes; what do you feel? Now take a DEEP BREATH, let it out, and do it again; what do you feel?
We take for granted that we are not in control of our heart beating and lungs breathing, and we have control over creating balance, and balance is all about CENTERING.

Creating a centered life balance begins with YOU living from YOUR CENTER.
This can look different for each of us. So many times, we want to excuse our challenges because of our upbringing, family influences, or just not knowing anything other. However, we are each UNIQUE individuals with our OWN hearts, mind, and soul, and this is how we have been intentionally created. We are designed to be who WE ARE as individuals with our OWN morals, values, and purpose.
We live with internal chaos when we reason with or excuse our challenges. In the diagram above, we can see the 5 areas of life we are responsible for in our individuality. Physical. Emotional. Spiritual. Nutritional. Environmental.
Our primary focus is on how we look physically. What our mindset is, what we eat, where we live and work, and then when we have time, we will consider the effects these have on us as the person we are. As you can see, this type of focus will eventually cancel out the “who we individually are” or, as some say, the “I AM.” Our identity becomes our family, community, work, and social circles; we blend into general society and get lost in the world.
We know we don’t feel “good”; however, we doubt that we feel “bad.” We just exist. We either dismiss the challenges and co-exist, or we believe it is okay because that is what we know as “okay.” We either have to lose something or someone of significance, or we hit our “rock bottom” knowing there’s something better and seek it out.
I have learned that those who choose to seek and understand living in balance seek it from their core center. Wanting to grow and be all they are created to be, living on purpose with purpose. Others are just okay living in their self-perceived comfort zone, and that’s okay too. There isn’t a parallel for these two types of individuals to even sit on the same teeter-totter in the same playground of life.
Those who desire to live a centered and balanced life have to choose to “seek” themselves first. Recognize there is a power greater than themselves breathing them. Choosing to look inside, feel from the inside and identify their core morals and values, live with integrity, identify their purpose, and live on purpose with genuine passion from their heart. We must seek ourselves first by glancing at our family of origin, our upbringing, the patterns, the cycles, and the “traditions.” Decern what fits us and what does not.
When we choose to decern WHO WE ARE from the CORE of our INDIVIDUAL being, we can UNshackle our health, UNshackle our love, UNshackle our happiness, and choose to live A Splendid Life NOW! being empowered and living from integrity.
We can start where we are, with what we have at this very moment. We can physically re-set our bodies to function the way it is created to work, correcting and healing from the inside out. We can recognize our mindset, increase our Emotional Intelligence love ourselves and others for exactly who we are. We can feed our body the food it needs to be healthy and “feed” our brain. (side note: did you know we consume enough preservatives to embalm ourselves SEVEN times during our lifetime? — YUCK– think about this a minute… how do you think this affects our brain?) We can influence our surrounding and environmental energies — remember science class back in the day, EVERYTHING is ENERGY. EVERYTHING has a positive and negative charge to be created or living — This is integral to our living and working environments. This is integral to our thinking and thought process.
Our Spiritual well-being can be identified in many different ways. We can not create our own heartbeat, nor can we give ourselves constant CPR to breathe. We must have a WHY! We must make a choice! We must be centered to live an unshackled and balanced life. Life is a process; we must choose to do our part and trust it.
